Accessibility Statement

SheikhInsurance wants every visitor to be able to find our contact details, understand the coverage we offer, and request a quote — regardless of how they use the web.

Standard we aim for

This site was built targeting the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. We treat that as an ongoing commitment rather than a finished certification.

What we’ve built in

• Semantic structure — real headings in order, landmark regions, lists and native form controls, so screen readers can navigate the page rather than guess at it.
• Keyboard operation — every link, button, menu and form field is reachable and operable by keyboard, with a visible focus outline. A “skip to main content” link is the first item on every page.
• Accessible forms — every field has a permanently visible label, required fields are marked programmatically, and validation errors are announced next to the field they belong to rather than only shown in colour.
• Colour contrast — text and interface colours were chosen to meet AA contrast ratios against their backgrounds.
• Reduced motion — if your device is set to reduce motion, animations and smooth scrolling are switched off automatically.
• Text alternatives — images carry descriptive alt text, and decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology so they don’t add noise.
• Zoom and reflow — the layout reflows to 400% zoom and to narrow screens without horizontal scrolling or loss of content.
• The FAQ accordion works without JavaScript, so answers remain readable even if scripts fail to load.

Known limitations

The map on the contact page is embedded from Google Maps. We do not control its accessibility. For that reason the full street address is always shown as selectable text next to the map, and a text-based “Get Directions” link is provided, so no information is available only inside the map.
